The Latino Commission (TLC) is a Non profit organization that was established in 1991.
TLC was initiated to impact the lack of accessibility for the Spanish speaking Latino in need of substance abuse services,
living in San Mateo County. Since then TLC has grown from one residential treatment
home to six (6) residential programs, two (2) transitional facilities and two (2) Outpatient centers impacting three different
counties; San Mateo, San Francisco and Tulare.
Through the process of growth, development and experience, TLC using it’s Empowerment Cultural Pride model (ECPM)
is not only supplying the need of Spanish speaking Latino, but all who walk through it’s doors; indifferent of race,
ethnicity, gender, religion, orientation or age.
TLC’s
organic holistic environment is embracing and reflective of the clientele it’s serves.
There are approximately 235 clients annually served with a static capacity of 78. The client/counselor ratio is 6-9 clients per counselor with every counselor CADDE certified or in process
of certification.
